  Chef Scott Dwyer is a Georgetown native, raised in the south and inherited a love for lowcountry cooking at a young age. After serving honorably in the United States Marine Corps, armed with determination and passion for good food, Scott decided to pursue his dream in becoming a Chef by working in kitchens in Columbia SC starting as a dishwasher at an Irish pub and later deciding to earn a degree in Culinary Arts Management at the International School of Culinary Arts in Charlotte NC where he would go on to teach at that very institute for 7 years. Scott moved back to Georgetown in 2019 to make an impact on his community through fellowship and camaraderie with the local food scene. Chef Scott has a passion and devotion to what Georgetown wants in food familiarity and hunt club mentality…with a twist.

  Been in the industry for 30 plus years. Started out in 1986 in Jackson MS as a bartender at George St. Grocery and Blues Bar. Moved to Columbia SC working in the kitchen at Goatfeathers in Five Points. Left industry from 91 till 99, then opened my first restaurant the Blue Bayou in Rock Hill SC. In 2003 opened Giovanni Italian Grill where I was manager. 2004 voted Creative Loafing Critics best bartender in Charlotte NC. Moved back home to MS where I helped opened and was GM at Old Cuevas Bistro in Pass Christian from 2006 till 2016. 2018 till 2021 manager at Cajuns in Gulfport MS. Moved to SC in the fall of 2021.
